Accident Procedures: |

-
Move the vehicle out of the traveled roadway, if it is clear, safe
and legal. (In some states it is
against the law to move a vehicle from
the place the accident occurred. Check
the ordinance in your state).
-
Turn off the ignitions of the cars involved.
-
Make a first aid check of all the people involved.
-
Call the police and emergency services.
-
Gather the names of all the people involved, including witnesses.
-
Exchange insurance information and do not discuss "fault" or make
statements to anyone other than the
police.
-
Get a copy of the police report from your local precinct and give it
to your insurance company.
